4 Quick, Bite-Sized, No-Bake Chocolate Treats to Sweeten Up Your Eid Al-Adha

Eid Al-Adha is right around the corner, and every family and household has their own traditions to prepping and getting ready for Eid. Some of us have traditional desserts and foods that we make in advance to share with guests that visit our homes, or to distribute and gift to family, friends, co-workers and neighbours.

But we also know, that Eid Al-Adha comes fast and somewhat abruptly… sadly, we haven’t centred our habits and activities around this Eid, the same way we do for Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr. (side note, that should change, we should hype this one up just as much!) But if you haven’t got around to finding a recipe, prepping your mother’s go-to cookies or traditional dishes, these bite-sized, no-bake chocolate treats are a win if you are looking to packing them in baggies or cute tiny boxes to gift to co-workers or neighbours. Always a sweet little treat!

Salted Dark Chocolate Dipped Figs

Figs are in season! Take advantage of this blessed and beautiful fruit (or any of your faves) and simply slice the figs in half, melt your favourite (and maybe dairy-free and free-trade ;)) dark chocolate and dip the bottom of each fig in the chocolate and sprinkle sea salt flakes on top and pop them in the fridge. This is a sweet, healthy way to greet your guests.

Festive Chocolate Honey Bark

A Middle Eastern spin on chocolate bark — and it’s only a few ingredients!

Gather the following ingredients:

  • White chocolate

  • Pomegrante arils

  • Chopped pistachios

  • Honey

  • Grated Orange zest

  • Dried rose petals

  1. Melt The Chocolate: Place chocolate in a heat-proof bowl set over a small pot of gently simmering water (making sure the water does not touch the bottom of the bowl) and stir until melted. Stir through a pinch of salt.

  2. Pour Chocolate On Baking Sheet: Pour melted chocolate onto the center of a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread it out into a rectangular shape (approx. 8×10 inches).

  3. Sprinkle On Toppings: Immediately sprinkle over the pomegranate arils and chopped pistachios and all other toppings. Place in fridge for 30-60 minutes or until chocolate has hardened.
